Coonawarra Cabernet Celebrations is one of South Australia’s best regional wine-based events, with over 50 unique food and wine experiences designed to showcase and celebrate the Coonawarra wine region’s beautiful signature red wine: Cabernet Sauvignon.

Enjoy the spring-time celebrations across the month of October. The annual festival offers a combination of food and wine events, tasting experiences, live music and more!

 From degustation dinners to masterclasses, vertical tastings to winery tours the region will offer wine enthusiasts the opportunity to savour world-class wines, enjoy the country hospitality and discover why Coonawarra is regarded as Australia’s premier Cabernet Sauvignon producing region.

Tee off with the who’s who of Coonawarra at the Cabernet Celebrations Golf Day, try your hand at blending your own wine, enjoy a sparkling cabernet breakfast, take a winery tour, indulge in a chocolate and wine tasting, graze the day away and dine with winemakers at dinners to delight.

With a range of renowned regional wineries offering up events all month long, there is no shortage of activities to celebrate, activate and educate your senses.

WEEKEND 1 – LONG WEEKEND FAMILY FIESTA

Cruise on in to Coonawarra for a fun-filled weekend with your family and friends. On this weekened there are activities to delight and amuse all ages. Hit the Coonawarra Wineries Walking Trail, or take to the greens for a round of golf and enjoy a wine or two with the who’s who of Coonawarra at the picturesque Penola Golf course.

Relax and enjoy pizza and tunes at Zema Estate or ‘live it up’ with long weekend vibes served up all weekend at Brand’s Laira.  Our cellar doors are well equipped with oodles of indoor and outdoor toys to make sure the kids have as much fun as the adults.

WEEKEND 3  – BACK TO OUR ROOTS (HERITAGE WEEKEND)

Immerse yourself in food and wine over the weekend with a casual sparkling cabernet breakfast at Balnaves of Coonawarra and a range of lunch and dinner options on offer, including the return of Majella’s ever popular Paella Fiesta, Katnook Estate’s Lunch in the Stables and cooper demonstrations at Yalumba Menzies. The highly sought after combined wineries degustation dinner at Pipers of Penola is a highlight for those that seek an intimate culinary experience hosted by 5 Coonawarra winemakers.

Take part in a winery tour at DiGiorgio on Friday or discover the beauty of Bellwether’s heritage winery set in an old shearing shed across the weekend.

HOP ON- HOP OFF SERVICE AVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS!

CCC SHUTTLE BUS: $22.50 per person per day. Unlimited travel to wineries between 10:30am and 4.30pm on Saturday’s and Sunday’s throughout October.

Tickets must be booked online in advance, with passengers requested to indicate where they would like to disembark upon booking.
