Celebrate the 40th annual 36°South Coonawarra Vignerons Cup in the exclusive 36°South Coonawarra Vignerons Marquee Precinct at the Penola Racecourse.
The 2022 event is a cocktail event offering an all-inclusive trackside package with expansive outdoor area and marquee, scattered seating, substantial cocktail style lunch and afternoon tea, betting facilities, Imperial wine auction, Super sweep, Live DJ, and a smorgasbord of Coonawarra’s finest wines to be enjoyed.
Package Commences 11am | Package Ends 5pm
The ticket includes a fully catered day out, with a keepsake wine glass. (Note beer and spirits are not included in package price and can be purchased from the Penola Racing Club Bar for consumption within the marquee precinct).
Return Transfer Bus from Mount Gambier [SOLD OUT] & Naracoorte to the Penola Racecourse available – $15pp – BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL
Complimentary shuttle buses will also be in service to transport ticket holders staying in the Penola/ Coonawarra townships. (see below for more information)
All ticket holders are required to wear a lanyard and wristband for entry into the event precinct.

Event Start: The Coonawarra Vignerons Cup Precinct will be open for guest access from 11:00 am. Lunch will be served from 12:15pm
Event access: Please ensure you are wearing both your lanyard and wristband for entry to the marquee and for the duration of the event. (If you have not received these prior to the day, your event passes will be available for collection from the Coonawarra Vignerons desk at the entry of the Marquee).
Getting there: Return transfer bus will be in service from Mount Gambier & Naracoorte Tickets are $15pp and must be booked in advance. Buses will depart at 10:15am SHARP from the Ferrers Street Bus Stop Mount Gambier (Opposite the new COLES Complex) and Ormerod St – Naracoorte Hotel, returning following the conclusion of the race day at approximately 5:15pm.

Dress Code: Attendees are encouraged to dress to impress in their race attire!
Super Sweep: $10 tickets will be available for purchase from Coonawarra Vignerons Cup Committee staff, based on runners in the feature Race 7 – 36°South Coonawarra Vignerons Cup. Great prize winnings to be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd placings. Qualifying tickets will be drawn at 2:10pm.
Imperial Auction: Seven 6- Litre imperial wines will be up for grabs to the highest bidder (scroll down to view labels and vintages on offer). Two beautifully crafted A.P John Coopers’ barrels will also be auctioned. Auction to commence at 3:15pm.
Entertainment: DJ Pedro will be performing throughout the day.
Betting facilities: Live bookies are available to take your bets in the marquee. Alternatively, guests are welcome to place bets in the designated Penola Racecourse Betting Ring.
