This week it’s all about the Blend…

Cabernet doesn’t just shine on its own – it’s also the perfect blending partner. This week, our wineries are showcasing their creative side with a range of tastings featuring Cabernet blends at cellar doors across the region.

Not only can you sip, learn and indulge with bespoke tasting experiences, you can become the winemaker by blending your own unique Coonawarra wine – yes, you get to roll up your sleeves and give it a go!

Beyond the glass, there’s plenty to explore:

Take a peek behind the scenes at DiGiorgio Family Wines with a guided tour and intimate tasting.
Graze your way through the day with produce platters and picnic packs available at many cellar doors.
Savour a long lunch at Ottelia Restaurant or Hollick Estates, where vineyard views set the scene for spring dining.
Stretch your legs (and paws!) on the Coonawarra Woof & Wine Walk – a dog-friendly stroll along the Coonawarra Walking Trail with wine, snacks and plenty of tail wags.

When the sun sets, Parker Estate’s Cabernet Soirée will be in full swing on Saturday night, featuring the fabulous Bonnie Lee Galea and her 5-piece band for an evening of cabaret, fine wine and good vibes. Keep the weekend rolling with their Sunday Brunch, pairing delicious local fare with spectacular vineyard views.

From cheese to chocolate, light bites to long, lazy lunches – you won’t go hungry. And of course, at the heart of it all is Coonawarra’s world-class Cabernet. Taste, compare and celebrate why our region is regarded as one of the most premium Cabernet producers in the world.

So gather your friends, bring the kids (and the dog!) and cruise into Coonawarra for a day – or treat yourself and stay for the weekend. This is one week you don’t want to miss!

For just $22.50 per person per day, you can toss away your keys and leave the driving to someone else!
Kick back and enjoy unlimited travel to wineries between 10:30am and 4.30pm* with the Cabernet Celebrations Shuttle Bus.

First pick up from the Penola Coonawarra Visitor Information Centre.

*Extended service on Saturday 4 October, finishing 5:30pm to accommodate afternoon events.

Tickets for the Shuttle bus must be purchased ONLINE. Passengers will receive a wristband upon boarding the bus on the allocated day of service.
