As a Cellar Door Host & Trade Salesperson, you will passionately deliver an exceptional wine experience to visitors at the Katnook Estate cellar door, while maintaining stock levels and ensuring that customer orders are dispatched in a timely manner. Additionally you will maintain and grow our regional on-premise trade customer base with a high level of customer service, communication and on-time delivery.
This is a permanent part-time role, working 26+ hours per week. While you will work mostly weekdays (including public holidays), ideally you’ll be available to work the occasional weekend shift.
Key responsibilities
As a Cellar Door Host & Trade Salesperson, you will:
- passionately deliver an exceptional wine experience to patrons of the Katnook Estate cellar door
- conduct wine tastings and sales
- promote wine club membership to visitors and sign new members
- maintain stock levels
- pack and dispatch wine orders
- conduct regular visits to trade customer in the region
- grow our trade customer base by strategically targeting new business.
What you’ll bring
It’s essential that you have Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation, a valid driver’s licence. HRW licence for forklift (LF) desirable but not essential.
It’s also essential that you have experience in a customer facing role, together with experience in warehousing/stock control including use of a forklift in a confined space. It’s highly desirable that you have experience in a cellar door or hospitality setting and/or business-to-business sales experience.
You can demonstrate:
- a genuine interest in wine and enthusiasm for learning about Katnook Estate’s products
- advanced people engagement skills with the ability to “tell a story”
- intermediate computer skills, including knowledge of point of sale equipment and processes
- neat presentation and pride in your appearance.
