This month one of Coonawarra’s oldest winemaking families is celebrating a special milestone, 50 years of producing cabernet sauvignon in Coonawarra! To mark the occasion and to recognise the relationships that have been forged in the region over this long period of time, the Redman Family have come together with Bellwether to produce a special release collab-wine pack!
The third in a series of Coonawarra collaboration mix wine packs, Bellwether & Redman’s have joined forces to celebrate two great vintages of the past decade, 2010 and 2015.
Winemaker’s Bruce Redman’s and Sue Bell have been friends for many years, with Sue having made several vintages of her Bellwether Cabernet Sauvignon at the Redman Winery. Their cabernet vineyards lie in close proximity along Coonawarra’s famed Terra Rossa strip, a fact shared in their recent “Live Chat” session streamed on their respective Facebook pages to officially launch the wine pack. During the video session, which is available to view on Facebook), the pair tasted, compared and contrasted each of the six wines, while reminiscing on days gone by in front of a cosy fire at the historic Glenroy Shearing shed, home of Bellwether winery.
Showcasing red wines from two of the best vintages in the last decade, along with two lighter varieties, contents of the case include:
- 2010 The Redman Cabernet blend
- 2010 Bellwether Cabernet
- 2015 Redman Cabernet
- 2015 Bellwether Cabernet
- 2019 Redman Rosé
- 2018 Bellwether Rosato
