Members of the Coonawarra Vignerons, together with our sponsors, partners and special guests, will gather on Friday 9 November 2018 at the Royal Oak Penola to launch the 2019 Coonawarra Vignerons Cup.
There’s nothing like a day of racing at the Penola Racecourse, a stunning backdrop to the running of the 37th annual Coonawarra Vignerons Cup. Attracting 3,000 visitors in January, the Coonawarra Vignerons Marquee will host over 700 guests indulging in premium trackside hospitality, fundraising and world-class Coonawarra wines.
For the first time in the event’s history, the Coonawarra Vignerons Cup will have a presenting partner, to be formally announced at the launch.

We cannot wait to announce who this local company is and share with you the loyal and new sponsors who are supporting us this year as we celebrate the partnerships that enable this Coonawarra wine region event.” Said Olivia Nunn, Coonawarra Vignerons Executive Officer.
The prestigious Cup trophy will be on display at the Launch before it commences its journey via the Coonawarra Vignerons member wineries’ cellar doors on its way to the Penola Racecourse for the main event on Thursday 17th January. Locals and visitors alike are encouraged to pop into cellar doors as the cup moves along the famed Coonawarra strip from 10 November 2018 to 16 January 2019.
An exclusive limited number of public tickets are available to the premium trackside marquee, where up to 728 guests will be hosted by members of the Coonawarra Vignerons wine region community. The first 50 public tickets will go on sale online during the launch at 5pm on Friday 9 November 2018. Information is available on the website event page.
