Billy Brand Wines is entirely family-owned and operated, led by Bill Brand together with his sons Damien and Trent, and daughter Sonya.  Their state-of-the-art Boutique Winery is located at the northern end of the famous Terra Rossa strip of Coonawarra. 

The Brand family has a long history in Coonawarra with Bill’s first vintage dating back to 1966, establishing the iconic wine label Brands Laira with his Father Eric Brand and brother Jim in what would be a 30 year partnership, raising the profile of Coonawarra as a premium Australian wine region.

During this time Bill was deeply involved with the South Australian Vine Improvement Association importing new varieties and selecting, testing, and propagating better clones of the varieties already in Australia. This was very important in developing productive yields and increased true-to-type flavours for premium wines throughout the whole of the Australian wine industry.

It was following the sale of the winery, that Bill Brand Family Vineyards was established, comprising a collection of small vineyards of outstanding fruit flavour and balance located across the whole of the Coonawarra Region.

Grape varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot, Tannat, and Chardonnay, all Certified Sustainable Vineyards
