MARQUEE GUIDE
Joining us in the Marquee… here’s what you need to know:
The Coonawarra Vignerons Marquee offers the most premium race day experience at the Penola Racecourse (PRC). Situated in prime position on the lush lawns directly opposite the home straight fence, and alongside the PRC Betting ring marquee offers a value-for-money package suitable for all group sizes.
Package Inclusions: This all-inclusive Marquee package is fully catered with a 6 hour premium Coonawarra wine package. Each ticket includes:
– Admission to racecourse, and the Coonawarra Vignerons Platinum Marquee
– Assigned seating
– Gourmet Plated lunch & shared afternoon tea
– A smorgasbord of Coonawarra’s finest wines
– Complimentary Race guide (1 between 2)
– Live Music from Shaun Brown
– Private TAB facility
NOTE: Beer and spirits can be purchased from the Penola Racing Club Bar and consumed in the marquee. No BYO Food & Beverages.
Event Start: The Coonawarra Vignerons Cup Marquee opens for guest access at 11am.
Event End: The Coonawarra Vignerons Cup Marquee package concludes at 5pm.
Event access: Please ensure you are wearing both your lanyard and wristband for entry to the marquee and for the duration of the event. (If you have not received these prior to the day, your event passes will be available for collection from the Coonawarra Vignerons desk at the entry of the Marquee).
Getting there: Complimentary Shuttle Buses are available to Marquee Guests, departing from the Penola and Coonawarra Townships.
Bus Transfers are also available from Naracoorte, Mount Gambier and Robe at an additonal cost per person. For more information, head to our dedicated Bus Transfers page.
Dress Code: Attendees are encouraged to wear neat, smart casual attire. Raceware is absolutely encouraged!
Fashions in the Marquee: Open exclusively to Marquee guests, prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed male, best-dressed female and best millinery as selected by our guest judges, along with a People’s Choice prize. Find out more here
Super Sweep: $10 tickets will be available for purchase from Coonawarra Vignerons Cup Committee staff, based on runners in the feature Race 7 – 36°South Coonawarra Vignerons Cup. Prize winnings in excess of $500 to be awarded to 3rd and 2nd placings with the winner taking home $1000’s!!
Entertainment: Local limestone coast musician Shaun Brown providing the music throughout the day, with guest Master of Ceremonies and wine diehard Steve Leszczynski jetting in from QLD to join us!
Imperial Auction: The imperial auction has long been a highlight of the Coonawarra Vignerons Cup Day, and in 2025 the collection of wines is as impressive as ever. Eight one-off 6- Litre imperial wines will be up for grabs to the highest bidder. View the Imperial Wine Catalogue here
