Comfort Food Cabaret tells the story of Michelle, who as a child dreamed of being the next Mariah Carey or Tina Arena.

Raised in a loving but dysfunctional working-class Lebanese/Australian family, Michelle grappled with expectations around marriage, career and family, before swapping her diamond encrusted microphone for a set of premium kitchen knives.

During the performance, Michelle dishes up tales of disastrous first dates at suburban buffet ‘Sizzler’, explores the questionable charms of apricot chicken and pineapple on pizza, and reveals how cooking and sharing a meal provide the ultimate connection during difficult times.
