Celebrate, educate and activate your senses with an array of wine experiences and events featuring Coonawarra’s champion variety- Cabernet Sauvignon.
There is every opportunity to taste some exquisite Coonawarra Cabernets in various events across the weekend. The region’s producers and winemakers will come together at an exclusive “meet the maker” tasting event showcasing 10-year-old Coonawarra cabernets alongside current releases – Friday 14th October. Stay on after the tasting to enjoy a delectable 2 course menu at Upstairs at Hollick.
Coonawarra’s esteemed Cabernet Masterclass returns this weekend for the first time in 2 yeaers, so if you consider yourself a wine connoisseur or want to expand on your global wine knowledge don’t miss The Global 2019 VIntage Masterclass at Wynns Coonawarra.
Immerse yourself in food and wine over the weekend with a sparkling cabernet breakfast and a range of lunch and dinner options on offer, including the return of Majella’s ever popular Paella Fiesta, Brand’s Laira’s Burgers and Beats, Raidis Estates Pizza and Tunes and a whole day of family fun at Rymill’s Cabernet Carnival. The highly sought after combined wineries degustation dinner at Pipers of Penola is a highlight for those that seek an intimate culinary experience hosted by 5 Coonawarra winemakers.
Take part in a winery tour at DiGiorgio on Friday or discover the beauty of Bellwether’s heritage winery set in an old shearing shed across the weekend.

For just $20 per person per day, you can toss away your keys and leave the driving to someone else!
Kick back and enjoy unlimited travel to wineries between 10:30am and 4.30pm with the Cabernet Celebrations Shuttle Bus.
The CCC Day pass is $20 pp for unlimited travel throughout the day, with first pick up from the Penola Coonawarra Visitor Information Centre.
Tickets for the Shuttle bus must be purchased ONLINE. Passengers will receive a wristband upon boarding the bus on the allocated day of service.
