Giddy up for the ultimate race day experience with Coonawarra Vignerons

ONLY ONE MORE WEEK – Thursday 17th January.

The 36o South Coonawarra Vignerons Cup is, without doubt, one of the State’s best country race meets, attracting over 3000 racegoers to the picturesque Penola Racecourse.

This year’s event is to be no exception with large crowds expected to descend on the track on Thursday 17 January, for the running of the 37th Annual 36o South Coonawarra Vignerons Cup.

Premium Trackside hospitality will be enjoyed by 728 guests in the exclusive Coonawarra Vignerons Cup Marquee, which has one of the most unique race day package offerings in the nation, commencing with a sparkling breakfast from 9:30am and a smorgasbord of Coonawarra’s finest wine to be enjoyed throughout the day.

Tickets for this popular marquee event were again highly sought after, with a sell-out crowd expected on the day.

For the second consecutive year the sold-out marquee will be guided by guest MC Jane Ferrari.  Wine Communicators of Australia named Jane Ferrari its 2012 Wine Communicator of the Year for her long-term effort in the global promotion and education of not only Yalumba, but Australian wine in general.

Yalumba Wine Industry personality and Coonawarra Vignerons Cup Marquee host MC Jane Ferrari

“We are thrilled to have Jane Ferrari, an industry icon, join us again on stage for this year’s Cup. Her involvement last year as MC was superb. She injects a great deal of energy in the marquee and keeps our guests entertained with her wit and humour, and down to earth personality!” said Heidi Eldridge, Coonawarra Event and Marketing Officer.

The marquee offers its guests with the chance to sample the region’s best food and world class wines, while watching an eight-race program unfold. Guests will also have the unique opportunity to purchase limited release six litre imperial bottles of Coonawarra wine in an auction format.

Presented in a bespoke wooden box, and specially labelled for the 36o South Coonawarra Vignerons Cup the wines available to bid on include: Koonara 2015 Ambriel’s Gift Cabernet Sauvignon, Katnook Estate 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, Leconfield Coonawarra 2014 Sydney Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Parker Coonawarra Estate 2010 First Growth Cabernet Sauvignon, Lindeman’s Coonawarra 2014 Limestone Ridge Vineyard Coonawarra Trio Shiraz Cabernet, Patrick of Coonawarra 2013 Home Block Cabernet Sauvignon,  Brand’s Laira Coonawarra 2015 Blockers Cabernet Sauvignon and Hollick Estates 2009 Ravenswood Cabernet Sauvignon.
