The Tour for a Cure – Daniher’s Drive en route to Coonawarra

Coonawarra Wineries are set to be a buzz when Neale Daniher and the FightMND community cruises through the region as a part of Daniher’s Drive – A Tour for a Cure, this Friday 12th October.

The four-day ‘Tour for a Cure’, commencing from Melbourne, will see teams drive across western Victoria and cross the border into South Australia for the first time in the fundraising drive’s history.  Joining Neale Daniher and his family are a swag of passionate fundraisers, sports fans, keen adventurers and driving enthusiasts.

The convoy is scheduled to stop in Coonawarra on Friday to enjoy a spot of wine tasting and a greek inspired feast at Raidis Estate, before continuing to Mount Gambier, on their circuit route via Victoria’s western district through to Geelong. The drive is about having fun and spreading the message to country regions and raising money for the cause.

The drive is strongly supported by AFL clubs, in particular, Melbourne Football Club and Essendon Football Club, with all of the famous Daniher brothers taking part in the event alongside Anthony Daniher’s three sons (including current Essendon star Joe Daniher) and ex-players Kevin Walsh, Paul Hamilton, David Flood and Ed Considine.

Daniher’s drive is an important part of the FightMND fundraising effort. Money raised in past years is already being directed into Australian-based MND research and clinical trials by some of the country’s brightest medical minds.

All money raised will go towards FightMND, which was founded by Bombers legend Neale Daniher to find effective treatments for Motor Neurone Disease with the aim of ultimately finding a cure, and you can contribute to the cause.

You can donate to any of the participating teams and help reach FightMND’s $1,000,000 goal for the event.

An exciting raffle will also be run, with a $50,000 car to be won by one lucky ticket-holder, and you canCLICK HERE to get your tickets.

Don’t worry if you missed out this year, because registrations of interest are now open for the 2019 Daniher Drive.
